Lake City Parade & Performance 2026

We highly encourage you and your families to participate! It is truly a blast for the kids, husbands, partners to get to be a part of our SDF world! Here's the details I have so far and bear with me cuz there's lots to know:

The Lake City Grand Parade starts at 7pm with our performance on the mainstage time around 515/530 so please plan for an evening with us!

You have multiple options for participating. 

First up, the Mainstage performance:

We traditionally have the last spot performing on the stage, located on 25th near the Lake City Library, around 515/530 and will do a group mini performance of some of the GROOV3 dances followed by some songs from Karen and my CDP classes. 

We've chosen three G3 songs to perform and will be refreshing your memories of these choreographies at our G3 classes leading up to the parade. You can perform in 1, 2 or all 3 of them! We'll make sure you know what the plan is order wise so you will know just what to do. :-) 

(If you can make it to the studio at Wednesday 7/29 at 830pm we'll do a quick run through of all three G3 dances in order.)

THEN, CALLING ALL CDP DANCERS, we'll roll into performing 3-4 of our fav's from CDP classes. 

Lastly, the PARADE:

Following this we'll head over to line up for the parade. During the parade we'll choose a few of our CDP songs to dance/march/spread our fun SDF energy to the crowd along the parade route. We'll also hope to have our families/kids on foot and on scooters handing out candy, stickers and flyers.

Your kiddo doesn't need to be a Hip Hop Kids student to march with us. If you are a dance fam member then so are they! Kids love marching in parades!

Once the parade is done everyone is welcome to join us at Jess's for a backyard BBQ nearby in Shoreline! We have a trampoline, sport court and lots of outdoor seating. 

‼️‼️ NEW THIS YEAR! If you'd like to join us for a run through of the CDP dances we'll have chosen for the parade & performance then come through the studio on Saturday July 25th at 1045. We'll run through the dances for performance as well as for the parade.

‼️‼️ ATTIRE! We loved how everyone showed up in pink, black , and white last year. We looked so sharp! This year we hope folks marching in the parade will grab an item from our upcoming neon/black/white themed Summer merchandise line and sport it during the parade. Barring that, please just come dressed with some neon/black/white combination. 🙏🙏
